Skate with Black River Youth Hockey in the last year at the old rink. Next year we plan to have a new ice arena.
Tournament Details
We expect to have a GREAT tournament and want everyone to have a super time! Please remember we are a ZERO TOLERANCE ASSOCIATION. If any parent/coach engages in heckling, swearing, or creating a disturbance they will be asked to leave the arena and will be barred for the remainder of the tournament.
We appreciate the help of everyone in making sure the skaters have the most positive experience possible! Thank you for your help!
All teams need to report to the arena 1 hour prior to their first game. The team Manager will need to provide:
- USA Hockey registration roster (A copy is acceptable.)
- Proof of age of team members
- Medical waivers/releases - Consent to treat forms
- 3 – team roster stickers for each game for the score sheets
All teams must be prepared to go onto the ice 20 minutes prior to the scheduled game time.
All games will be played under USA Hockey rules.
U10 & U12: First period will be 12 min. run time followed by 2 – 12 minute stop time periods
U14: First period will be 15 min. run time followed by 2-12 minute stop time periods
When a team is ahead by 6 goals the clock changes to run time except for scores or injuries.
Warm-Up: A 5 minute warm-up starts at the designated time whether the team is on the ice or not.
Scoring: Win – 2 points, TIE – 1 point, LOSS – 0 points. If there is a tie in the total points the following criteria will be used to determine the winner:
- Head to Head Competition
- Fewest Goals Allowed
- Fewest Penalties
Each team is allowed one (1) minute time-out per game.
Ice will be resurfaced between games.
If one player has 3 penalties in one game he/she will sit the balance of the game. If the same player has 3 penalties in the 2nd game he/she will not skate the remainder of the tournament.
