Division I Scholarship
On November 8, 2006 Maggie Mickelson signed a national letter of intent to play hockey for NCAA Division I St. Cloud State University. It was a day for Maggie and her family to be proud for all the hard work and effort she put into hockey. It was a day for the Black River Falls High School to be proud and it was especially a day for the Black River Youth Hockey Association to be proud. Maggie has been a member of the Association since she was old enough to skate.
Besides playing in Black River Falls, Maggie also played for the Wisconsin Wild AAA girls hockey since 2002 and racked up four State Championships with the Wild. Maggie was also invited to the USA Development Camps in Lake Placid, N.Y. in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
The Black River Youth Hockey Association couldn't be more proud of Maggie for her accomplishments. We wish her the best at St. Cloud State!
